What Makes A Movie Trailer? @StarWars @NinjaTracks

With the most recent trailer for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story I thought it would be a perfect time to talk about what I feel really makes a movie trailer.  With a major motion picture like Rogue One, trailers are released over the course of up to a year before the actual release of the movie.  Usually starting with a short maybe 30 second teaser trailer just to get you excited and wanting more.  Then with the release of the first theatrical trailer you become more aware of the story that will be told in the movie.  Sometimes there are even 2 or 3 more trailers after that.  With this latest trailer of Rogue One, I was blown away by the score that was used in the background.  As the trailer plays you begin to find out more about the main character as the music begins to build.  Then as the action sequences occur the music makes you feel like you are right there along side the actors.  That I feel is the hook, when the music gets you to feel as if you are part of the story.   After a few days of searching I was able to find out the composers of the music for this trailer and it is none other than Ninja Tracks with The Machination.  By far one of the most beautiful written songs I’ve heard in years.  Be sure to check out the latest trailer as well as the song by itself below.
