Most of us have been to some sort of a circus whether it be what was Barnum & Bailey Circus, or even just a small town fair. They have practically everything from high flying gymnasts to the bearded lady. But how did they come to be. Who thought of putting together such a show? Who in their right mind would think to put people who were treated as outcasts and show the world that they are truly talented individuals. One of those founding fathers of the circus was P.T. Barnum. When you hear the name you immediately think of the traveling circus. But did you ever know he was a politician, or the President of a hospital. He was a visionary who didn’t let anything stand in his way of making it big. Nothing to stop him from achieving something great. Being possibly the greatest showman on Earth. Granted the circus has had its fair share of wrong doings, but there were still some great ideas to come from it. It showed people not to be afraid of who they are, and deep down inside we are all amazing people. The circus you can say has kinda given birth into something unique now with Cirque Du Soleil, but it will always begin with the idea that one man could change the course of entertainment forever.
