It’s already been almost two months since the passing of Chester Bennington and for the longest time I couldn’t figure out how to show my respect to him. Their music was instrumental in my life. Even one of my first AIM names had a link to them. They were the first concert I saw, I was even part of the LP Underground. One of the things that stuck out most to me growing up and learning more about this band was an interview Chester did. He was asked if he could have lunch with anyone, who would it be? He answered his son, who had just been born. This was a man who battled demons but knew his love for his family was an unbelievable force. Togetherness can help people like Chester in their times of need. There is a line in this weeks throwback Thursday song that really does hit home. “Together, we made it” and it’s true. Reach out a helping hand to those in need or who might be going through dark times.
