I was ecstatic to hear some new songs from one of my favorite bands Smile Empty Soul and then I remembered why I fell in love with them. If you haven’t already you need to check out their album Rarities for some good old fashion kick ass rock music. Back in the day I wasn’t always social-able and kinda kept to myself. Smile Empty Soul was one of the bands that helped me get out of my funk. I remember one song that stuck out was Bottom Of The Bottle. It just struck a chord inside me that made me start to go after my goals in life. Back in the day I was rocking this song and a few friends and I decided to go to a strip club, (funny story it was the strip club used in the filming of The Sopranos) and it was a Tuesday (why a Tuesday…why not lol) Anyway I actually ended up knowing one of the dancers and out of know where she got on the pole and did a dance to this song. Maybe that’s the reason why I love it so much. This bands has been and will always have a special meaning to me and this week I figured why not throw it back to this great song.
