A term used a lot through out wrestling yet a lot of people don’t understand is promos. Promos are used all the time, hell I feel like they make up about half of Monday Night Raw (sorry WWE it’s the truth). Promos are basically an opportunity for a superstar to call out a fellow wrestler that they might be feuding with or wanting to feud with. Some promos are scripted while other wrestlers actually have the freedom to add to their own promos. One of the greatest right now has to be Bray Wyatt. Sometimes promos can get out of hand and if a wrestler goes completely off script it’s usually called a pimp bomb…Thank you CM Punk. Promos usually fill in the plot of a feud between wrestlers. Sometimes they can be funny and just balls to the walls crazy like when Dean Ambrose gets the mic in hand. Promos are a very important part of wrestling and when used properly can elevate a superstar to a whole other level. To give you an example of a promo, check out when the Rock was on SNL a few weeks back and did a little skit that got a little to personal.
